# Swap

If you're not familiar with decentralized exchanges, they differentiate from centralized exchanges (such as Binance, Coinbase, and so on) in the sense that decentralized trades are conducted peer-to-peer (or, wallet to wallet).

Unlike a centralized exchange, this means you do not have to give up custody of your tokens to a third party to broker a trade. Your tokens remain in your custody at all times, until you decide to trade them.

### Step 1. Go to the [exchange](https://www.soyswap.com/exchange/swap) and select the tokens you wish to swap

### Step 2. Input the amount you would like to trade

### Step 3. Select "Approve", and confirm the swap in your wallet

### Step 4. Select "Swap", and finalize the transaction
